About the Title II

Another reason I developed the shorthand SFNE is to reduce the amount of cursing I do in front of my kid. Which is why the tagline to my blog uses the euphemism "frakking." This is important because I don't want to offend someone who's just scanning--I can respect delicate sensibilities when I need to. (Tip to those with delicate sensibilities: Skip all episodes of "Deadwood" and anything directed by Quentin Tarantino.)

Also, I am amused by the word "frakking" because the characters on the new "Battlestar Galactica" use it as an all-purpose (but you know what they mean) swear word. I'm going out on a limb here with some of you, but . . . the new version currently on SciFi channel is WAY better than the original.

I know, I know--you're already thinking, "What a rebel!"

Darn! Too bad I can't use my LJ icons here. I have a nice one made by one of my listsibs that reads: "Can't do better than the original", with a pic of Starbuck & Apollo. ;-) Sorry, I didn't like the mini-series & I haven't watched the new one because it just doesn't look interesting to me.

**The pic I'm referring to is set as my default icon so you can see it, if you're interested. ;-) Just click on my initials for the link.

(NOTE: I've edited this comment)
To RSW:
Robin--I know this is you! Come out of hiding! And please give the new series a try--it's wonderful. Plus it has Edward James Olmos, who stepped into my heart back in his "Miami Vice" days and . . . stayed. If you do nothing else, try the first episode after the mini-series. It's called "33"--I think they're rerunning in rotation on SciFi right now. Let me know what you think.

To Lisa: No, I haven't checked out the audio commentaries, though I have read Ron Moore's blog. Gotta do that!

If you want a good laugh, go to www.tvtome.com (a truly wonderful Canadian site about all thing television--FABULOUS material on "Degrassi--The Next Generation") and look at Scuttle Cliff's episode by episode reviews of the new BG:

His (I think he's a guy) spelling and grammar are atrocious, but I was just dying of laughter from his comments, which are both spot on and yet--loving.

heh How'd you guess it was me? ;-)

I think I'm too prejudiced to watch & enjoy the new bsg (as evidenced by the LJ icon). I've never claimed to not be biased.

RSW--just a guess, then I asked your husband to confirm your initials! I'll just mark you up as a lost cause--can't win 'em all! Come back anytime!
